About Krista

My nursing background is rooted in hospital-based medical-surgical and acute care, with experience caring for patients before and after surgery and managing a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Throughout my clinical work, I’ve assessed and monitored patients, administered medications and treatments, supported postoperative recovery and wound care, and collaborated closely with multidisciplinary care teams.

My experience has also extended beyond direct patient care into patient safety, quality, and process improvement. I’ve served as co-chair of a wellness committee, contributed to safety and pharmacy initiatives, helped prepare my unit for Joint Commission review, and worked with staff to identify opportunities for improvement across different areas of care.

That combination of bedside experience and organizational involvement shapes the way I approach legal nurse consulting. I understand both the clinical realities of patient care and the processes that support it, allowing me to consider how care developed over time, how clinical decisions and interventions were documented, and how those details fit within the overall medical record.

I founded Witt Legal Nurse Consulting to bring that perspective to attorneys handling medically complex cases. My role is to make the clinical side of a case easier to understand and give your legal team useful medical context for the work ahead.
